Terms of service
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms apply to the hosted BrewGraph service, provided by Peritex AB, Sweden ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them. They do not apply to the self-hosted, open-source BrewGraph, which is covered by its own licence.
1. The beta
The hosted service is in an invite-only beta and is currently free. It is still being developed: features may change, be added or be removed, and there may be interruptions or data problems that a finished product would not have. There is no guaranteed availability during the beta. Keep your own export of anything you cannot afford to lose.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, and use the service in line with the law where you live.
- Sign-in is provided by Clerk. Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
- An account belongs to an organisation (your brewery or household). Its owner decides who else gets access, and is responsible for the members they invite.
- Beta invitations are personal and may only be used by the address they were sent to.
3. Your data
Your brewing data (batches, recipes, notes, device readings) remains yours. You give us the permission we need to store, process and show it to you and the people you share it with, in order to run the service.
Improving predictions. As a condition of using the hosted service, you also allow us to use brewing process data (readings and batch outcomes) to improve BrewGraph's prediction models and recommendations. There is no setting to opt out; if you do not accept this, the self-hosted version never shares any data with us. Your name and email address are not used for this. We keep the right to retain and use an anonymised copy of this brewing data, which cannot be linked back to you, after you delete it or close your account.
You can export your data and close your account as described in the privacy policy, which also explains how personal data is handled.
4. Acceptable use
Do not:
- try to access other accounts' data, or probe, overload or disrupt the service;
- send device data or requests at a rate or in a way meant to get around your plan's limits;
- use the service for anything unlawful, or upload content you have no right to share.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, after telling you where possible.
5. Limits and plans
Each plan has limits, such as how many devices and readings it keeps; the app shows them. Paid plans are not available yet. When they are, prices and billing terms will be shown before you subscribe, and payments will be handled by Stripe.
6. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time. It can be recovered for 30 days, after which its data is deleted; copies in backups can remain for up to 60 days in total from closing (see the privacy policy). A free account left unused for 12 months is closed in the same way, after an email warning. If we ever end the hosted service, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data.
7. Liability
The service is provided "as is", especially during the beta, without warranties of any kind. BrewGraph helps you monitor brewing; it does not replace your own judgement, and we are not responsible for the outcome of a batch, spoiled product, or decisions made from predictions, alerts, or service downtime. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss or loss of data, and our total liability for any claim under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us to use the service in the 12 months before the claim (or 0 SEK during the free beta).
Third-party services. The service relies on providers such as Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (hosting) and external APIs. We are not responsible for interruptions, delayed data or damage caused directly by a failure at one of these providers.
Force majeure. We are not liable for failing to perform, or for delays in performing, these terms when this is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as widespread network or power outages, extreme weather, natural disasters, war, pandemics or actions by authorities.
None of this limits rights you have as a consumer that the law does not allow to be limited.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version is published here with a new "last updated" date, and account holders are told before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes are settled by Swedish courts. If you are a consumer, you can also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes, ARN (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden), and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
