Choose your BrewGraph#
Self Hosted Cloud Hosted
BrewGraph follows the same brewing workflow in both editions: connect a device, follow a batch through fermentation, package it into storage, and keep track of what is on tap. The choice is about who operates the service and how you want to use it.
Choose Self Hosted when you want control#
Self Hosted is the right fit when you are comfortable running Docker on your own hardware and want your BrewGraph data to stay on your own network.
You install, update, back up, and monitor the service.
Your devices send readings to a server on your trusted local network.
Capacity is set by your hardware rather than account limits.
It is especially useful for DIY hardware, BLE scanning, and mDNS discovery; those sidecars work best on a Linux host.
Start with Installation, then follow Getting Started.
Choose Cloud Hosted when you want convenience#
Cloud Hosted is the right fit when you want to use BrewGraph without operating a server. The free beta provides gravity monitoring, batches, storage vessels, and taps through a managed account.
There is no Docker, database, or server maintenance to manage.
You sign in and register devices from the app.
Hosted accounts have limits for devices, active brewing work and measurement storage.
BrewGraph operates the service; you remain able to export your brewing data, including when you close your account.
Cloud Hosted is launching as an invite-only beta. See Getting Started for the current beta flow and Limits for launch limits.
What is the same at launch#
Both editions support the launch workflow:
Monitor gravity from iSpindel, GravityMon, Tilt through TiltBridge, or a compatible iSpindel-style sender.
Create or import batches, view gravity charts and the accompanying temperature, add notes, and follow fermentation progress.
Track packaged vessels and what is on tap, without pour tracking.
Import from Brewfather or BeerXML and download brewing data and a full backup.
Self Hosted also supports pressure monitoring and pour recording. Those features are coming soon to Cloud Hosted.
For the exact launch inventory, including what differs between the two editions, see Launch features.
